The attorneys in the family law section of SSBP zealously advocate for our clients during some of the most difficult times in their lives. Our family law attorneys have over 75 years of combined experience helping families with a wide range of disputes governed by the Texas Family Code including:
- divorce with or without children
- complex property division
- modifying and enforcing prior orders related to children
- negotiating premarital and marital agreements
- establishing paternity
We also work with clients who prefer collaborative divorce over the traditional litigation model.
When a client approaches SSBP regarding a family law matter we schedule a one-on-one consultation with one of the attorneys in the family law section who focuses exclusively on family law matters. This is a potential client’s opportunity to share his or her circumstances, ask questions, and acquire a better understanding of the specific rights, risks, and strategies that apply to their situation, as well as to gain insight into the family law process. Each client’s case is unique and can present emotional challenges to our clients. SSBP family law attorneys are sensitive to the often delicate nature of family law situations and assist clients by navigating their specific circumstances to recommend a course of action tailored to the evidence and the client’s objectives. The next step is to work closely with your attorney and a legal assistant to develop your case for a negotiated settlement or trial, if necessary. Clients receive all communications received by their attorney and sent by their attorney and are kept abreast of the status of their case on an ongoing basis.
