HISTORY
SCHLANGER, SILVER, BARG & PAINE, LLP is the direct successor of Schlanger, Cook and Cohn, which was formally organized in 1966, when Lee Schlanger began his law practice. However, the firm's roots go back more than 30 years before that, when Lee's father, Daniel Schlanger (1902-1973), Joel W. Cook (1910-1986) and Melvin S. Cohn (1921-1999) began practicing law together. As a result, the firm's philosophy, and some client relationships, stretch back for decades. Our goal has never been to be a large law firm. Rather, we have sought to gather a team of highly qualified attorneys, who provide responsive, personal service and high quality legal work to our clients in an office atmosphere that promotes cooperation and collegiality.
